Fraser Health Authority seeks Casual Anaesthesia Assistants for technical support under direct Anaesthesiologist supervision. The position supports induction, maintenance, and recovery while monitoring physiological responses during surgery. Duties include airway management, equipment operation, and patient documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with induction, maintenance, and recovery phases
- Perform airway management and support difficult intubations
- Administer medications under direct supervision
- Monitor vital signs and physiological responses
- Maintain and calibrate anaesthesia equipment
Requirements:
- Post-graduate diploma in an accredited Anaesthesia Assistant Program
- Respiratory Therapy diploma and three years' recent clinical experience
- One year of recent Anaesthesia Assistant experience
- Current CPR, ACLS, and NRP certification
- Eligible for CSRT and BCSRT membership
