The position maintains a clinical caseload, provides direct care, and educates patients with varied respiratory illnesses. You will perform respiratory function testing, support mechanical ventilation, and contribute to respiratory service planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients and develop care plans or education sessions
- Perform pulmonary function and respiratory therapy tests
- Monitor equipment calibration and quality control checks
- Support cardiac arrest and trauma teams
- Maintain ventilation support and artificial airways
Requirements:
- Approved Respiratory Therapy program graduation
- Two years' recent acute care clinical experience
- Successful Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam
- Current CPR Level C and Neonatal Program certification
- Eligible for Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists membership
