Communications Intern in Oakville

Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited is a national manufacturer and distributor of automobiles and automotive service parts headquartered in Oakville, Ontario and is an integral part of the international Ford Motor Company organization.

Candidates must be available May to August 2027 and be returning to school in the Fall.

Work Location: Oakville. This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.

• Communications interns will contribute to Ford's transformation and the company's future vision.
• They will be part of a team that aims to establish Ford as the world's most trusted company through purpose-driven storytelling.
• Internships are project-oriented and challenge you to demonstrate strategic thinking, business acumen and technical skills.

You'll Have:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree or Master's education in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies/Media Relations, English or Film Studies.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Initiative to deliver results.
• Writing, reporting and verbal communications skills.
• Proficiency in digital and social media tools.
• News reporting or editing experience.
• Ability to develop innovative approaches to engaging audiences.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate relationships with colleagues with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• At least one relevant prior internship or work experience.
• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.

For Undergraduate students, the expected hourly pay range for this position is $22.25 - $30.12. For Graduate students, the expected hourly pay range for this position is $31.72 - $34.89.
