Operate heavy equipment on Forbes Bros. Group projects throughout Ontario, using safety-focused skills across rotating, on-site transmission and distribution work.
This full-time, temporary Equipment Operator role supports construction activities under a Foreman or Lead Hand. The work requires heavy equipment operation, site-plan reading, equipment inspections, and preventative maintenance. You will coordinate with construction crews on major infrastructure projects throughout Ontario while following operating manuals, company policies, site procedures, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate loaders, dozers, telehandlers, graders, excavators, Lodrils, and vibratory hammers
- Follow site plans, manuals, regulations, policies, and site procedures
- Complete daily pre-use and post-use safety and maintenance checks
- Coordinate equipment activities with construction crews and provide field feedback
- Clean, grease, maintain, document, and securely store equipment
Requirements:
- Equipment operator training or certification appropriate to assigned equipment
- Three to five years operating heavy equipment
- Experience with excavators, loaders, skid steers, and crawler tractors
- Ability to read site plans and maintain safety focus
- Understanding of manuals, inspections, and preventative maintenance requirements
