Build and maintain distribution powerlines with Forbes Bros. across Ontario. Apply field expertise to overhead and underground electrical systems on rotation. This full-time, temporary role supports transmission and distribution projects throughout Ontario. You will construct new lines, troubleshoot electrical systems, and complete installations and repairs. The position requires practical distribution construction knowledge, safe work practices, quality-focused execution, and apprentice development. Work is on-site with project-based rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair high- and low-voltage systems
- Construct distribution powerlines and frame wood and steel structures
- String conductors, pull cables, and operate construction equipment
- Follow permits, protective equipment requirements, and safe work procedures
- Support apprentices and prepare work areas for inspections
Requirements:
- Red Seal certification or equivalent powerline education and experience
- Journeyman experience in distribution or transmission
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence; Class 1A preferred
- Strong hazard recognition and hierarchy-of-controls knowledge
- Ability to perform heavy lifting in varying site conditions
