As Route Supervisor, you oversee routes, schedules, drivers, and operational issues with support from the Location Manager. You coordinate dispatch, vehicle availability, and driver coverage while monitoring performance and disruptions. The position requires leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving across transportation teams. You also support customer service, compliance, reporting, and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily transportation operations safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Coordinate route assignments, vehicle availability, and driver coverage
- Monitor route performance and resolve service disruptions promptly
- Coach drivers and support employee training and development
- Assist with accident investigations and incident reporting
Requirements:
- College diploma or university degree preferred
- One to three years supervisory or management experience
- Understanding of route scheduling and dispatch procedures
- Knowledge of Ontario transportation regulations and CVOR requirements
- Microsoft Office and general computer systems proficiency
