Lead environmental compliance and permitting for First Majestic Silver Corp.’s mining operations and development projects across Mexico and the United States. The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer. The Director leads environmental compliance, permitting, reclamation, and closure functions across the Company’s portfolio. This senior role manages regulatory approvals, environmental risks, monitoring, reporting, and obligations integrated into operational decisions. It also guides environmental standards and supports responsible mining practices. Key Responsibilities:
Develop environmental, permitting, reclamation, and closure strategies Lead permitting and regulatory approval activities Monitor environmental performance and drive continuous improvement Oversee audits, inspections, reporting, and compliance programs Lead, mentor, and develop environmental professionals Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental engineering, or related discipline Eight or more years managing environmental permitting initiatives Mining or natural resources sector experience Fluent English; Spanish is an asset Advanced Microsoft Office and Microsoft Projects experience Bring environmental governance, permitting leadership, risk management, and mining compliance expertise to First Majestic Silver Corp.’s portfolio.
