Finning Canada is seeking a motivated Journeyperson Machinist/Welder to join the Edmonton Field team. You will perform portable line boring and welding duties on Caterpillar Mining Equipment while maintaining a focus on customer service. This role requires field experience and a strong background in welding and machining to ensure high standards of repair quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate line boring equipment for rebuild and repair tasks
- Perform welding, grinding, and maintenance on Caterpillar equipment
- Complete technical documentation for service and warranty
- Work safely in confined spaces and at heights as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance and component rebuilding
Requirements:
- Journeyperson Machinist Certification
- Apprentice Welder qualification
- Proven line boring experience
- Ability to lift/push up to 45 pounds
- Strong welding skills (SMAW and FCAW)
