Founded in 2019, Felix is a digital healthcare company that puts the patient in control of their own health and well-being. We’re passionate about building technology and beautiful customer experiences to make healthcare more accessible (and more enjoyable) for all Canadians. Felix is Canada's first end-to-end healthcare experience, providing online treatment, prescription delivery and ongoing care.
The Role
Felix is hiring an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support all frontline operations across our network. Our current sites are in Mississauga, ON, Richmond Hill, ON and Port Coquitlam, BC. You’ll be the dedicated HR Business Partner for our pharmacy and fulfillment teams, the people who get care to patients’ doors. You’ll own employee relations, policy and employee experience across our sites, and help shape how we support new locations as we grow. The role is hybrid, with up to 3 days a week on-site in Mississauga and Richmond Hill and periodic travel to Port Coquitlam, BC (as per business needs). You’ll report directly to our VP, HR, with a seat close to the people’s decisions shaping the company, and partner day-to-day with our Pharmacy Operations leaders and the wider HR and Talent teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations and HR Support
- Be the go-to HR partner for employees and managers across our pharmacy and fulfillment teams.
- Coach and develop our site leaders on performance, development and everyday people decisions.
- Own employee relations end to end, from investigations and conflict resolution to performance improvement plans and terminations.
- HR Policies and Compliance
- Build and evolve our HR policies: spot the gaps, design practical solutions, and roll them out consistently across every site.
- Keep us compliant across provinces, applying Ontario and BC employment legislation day to day.
- Learn and navigate the pharmacy-specific landscape, including provincial College requirements around licensure and scope of practice.
- Champion workplace health and safety as a member of each site’s Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).
- HR Operations and Team Partnership
- Run smooth people operations with our HR and Pharmacy Operations teams.
- Bring our people programs to life for our pharmacy and fulfillment teams.
- Partner with fellow HRBPs to keep policies, programs and the employee experience consistent across the business.
- Support hiring alongside our Talent team as we staff up existing sites and open new ones.
What you’ll bring
- Scale-up HR experience: you’ve provided hands-on HR support in a fast-growing company.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with real ownership of a client group or site.
- Solid knowledge of Ontario and BC employment law, including the ESA, OHSA and WorkSafeBC.
- A track record with complex employee relations.
- Comfort with modern HR tools.
- Real care for the details.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting pharmacy or other regulated healthcare teams.
- Direct access to leadership.
- Impact you can see.
4 weeks of vacation: 3 weeks to take whenever you like, plus an extra week off over the holidays. Full health coverage, including medical, dental and vision benefits from day one. Parental leave for new parents. Hybrid flexibility, with up to 3 days a week on-site in Mississauga.
This posting is for an existing vacancy at the company. Our commitment to an inclusive team culture means embracing diversity and offering equitable access to opportunities and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded. During our recruitment process, we provide accommodations at any stage.
