Coordinate transportation equipment dispatch at FedEx using Linehaul plans, trailer capacity management, and transportation management system updates. This seasonal position works Monday to Friday, 08:00–14:00.
The Field Linehaul Support Representative executes dispatch activities for assigned areas and supports service integrity. You will follow schedules, maximize trailer volume, enter dispatch events, and verify equipment locations. The work also includes yard checks, reporting delays, and supporting management reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute transportation equipment dispatch according to Linehaul plans
- Maximize trailer volume while meeting package delivery obligations
- Enter dispatch events into the online transportation management system
- Complete yard inventories and verify trailer load statuses
- Investigate delays, accidents, failures, and contingency requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Dispatch experience preferred
- Ability to communicate safety initiatives and operational issues
- Ability to operate in a personal computer Windows environment
