Shape livestock and farm hardware categories with FCL using market insights, CRS data, and customer-focused strategies in a hybrid environment. Saskatoon candidates are preferred, while Western Canada remote arrangements may be considered. Federated Co-operatives Limited seeks a Category Manager for a temporary assignment of up to 16 months. You will develop assortments, programs, training, budgets, and marketing initiatives across animal supplies, livestock equipment, feed, farm hardware, engines, accessories, and manufactured feed. The position supports Ag and Home business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop category strategies aligned with consumer and market needs
- Execute marketing programs across livestock and farm hardware portfolios
- Analyze CRS and industry data for pricing and product decisions
- Manage sales, margins, inventories, turns, and service levels
- Negotiate products, source programs, and optimize pricing strategies
Requirements:
- Six to nine years of related wholesale or retail experience
- Degree in agriculture, business, supply chain, marketing, or related field
- Strong business acumen and category management experience
- Experience with ERP systems and data analytics
- Proactive, results-driven leadership with a strong sales focus
