I am looking for a Financial Controller for my client, a company in the manufacturing sector.
This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Sherbrooke, YOUR MISSIONS- Supervise, manage and develop the finance team, allocate tasks and ensure deadlines are met.- Coordinate the financial closings of several entities, review complex journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and audit files.- Oversee cash management, banking operations, supplier payments and associated controls.- Review payroll, payroll entries, holiday entitlements and accrued salaries, DAS, as well as reconciliations relating to employee benefits and deductions.- Participate in the financial activities of Canadian and international entities, including intercompany reconciliations and consolidation.- Resolve accounting and operational issues and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.- Improve internal controls, standardise procedures and contribute to process automation and the development of financial systems.
YOUR PROFILE- CPA qualification- 6 to 10 years’ relevant experience in accounting and finance, including supervising or coordinating a team.- Good command of financial close, cash management, payroll and accounts payable processes.- Proficiency in an integrated ERP system.- Excellent command of Excel and sound professional judgement.- Functional spoken and written English, particularly for communicating with colleagues, clients and suppliers outside Quebec.- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
