Bilingual Manager – Project Manager Role – Tax Technology & Transformation in Montréal

The opportunity

EY is seeking a Manager to join its Tax Technology & Transformation practice in Montréal. The successful candidate will lead technology-enabled tax transformation initiatives, helping clients modernize tax processes, improve compliance and reporting, and implement innovative technology solutions. This role requires a strong project management background, experience leading cross-functional teams, and the ability to bridge business, tax, finance, and technology functions.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead tax transformation and technology implementation projects from planning through delivery.
• Develop and manage project plans, workstreams, milestones, budgets, and timelines.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Work with tax, finance, IT, and business teams to design and implement process improvements.
• Support ERP-enabled tax transformation initiatives, including SAP and other enterprise platforms.
• Facilitate workshops, gather business requirements, and coordinate with development team to develop solution recommendations.
• Facilitate project governance, steering committee meetings, and executive status reporting.
• Drive project governance activities, including status reporting, issue management, and executive presentations.
• Support business development activities, client proposals, and practice growth initiatives.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.
• Manage RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decisions).
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Tax, Finance, IT, Legal, Operations, and external vendors.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope.

Skills and attributes for success

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• 5-8+ years of experience in project management, tax transformation, finance transformation, or technology consulting.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional transformation projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-service environment.
• CPA, PMP, or other relevant professional certification is a bonus.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP.
• Experience with project software/platforms such as JIRA, Microsoft Project or similar.
• Experience working with tax technology, analytics, reporting, or automation solutions.
