Extendicare seeks an RPN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario for its Behavioural Supports Ontario program. The work combines interdisciplinary coordination, staff training, responsive-behaviour support, quality reporting, and clinical analysis. You will collaborate with social work, pharmacy, physicians, residents, families, volunteers, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate BSO interdisciplinary meetings, rounds, training, and support
- Analyze and present quality indicators and medication-use reports
- Oversee behaviour documentation, DOS monitoring, and assessments
- Monitor MDS indicators, outcome scores, and RUG scores
- Complete required reports, statistics, protocols, and evaluations
Requirements:
- Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR and First Aid certificates
- Three to five years of long-term care experience
- Knowledge of dementia, delirium, depression, addictions, and mental health
- Knowledge of PIECES, Gentle Persuasive Approach, U-First, and Montessori
