Extendicare welcomes Ontario Registered Practical Nurses interested in relocating to Manitoba and practicing as LPNs. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will provide planned, goal-directed nursing care in seniors' care. The position requires current CPR certification, nursing knowledge, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care according to nursing standards and physicians' orders
- Observe, report, and record resident vital signs and conditions
- Assess residents and develop, review, and evaluate care plans
- Monitor changes and assess needs for physician referrals
- Orient, mentor, and support staff competency development
Requirements:
- Current registration with the CLPNA
- Ontario RPN registration with Manitoba licensing guidance available
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of wound management and infection control
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
