Reporting to the Director of Care, this full-time leader oversees assigned clinical areas within Extendicare's model of care. The position supports resident safety, family engagement, regulatory compliance, and high-quality outcomes. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, families, vendors, and community health partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned programs under Extendicare's Model of Care
- Identify risks, mitigation strategies, and required escalations
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor outcomes
- Mentor team members through training and development
- Respond empathetically to resident and family feedback
Requirements:
- Fluent French and English language skills
- At least three years as registered long-term care staff
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse registration
- Current CPR certification and provincial certificate of competence
- Experience with Point Click Care and Microsoft Office
