Serve residents and guests with courteous meal service as a part time Dietary Aide at Extendicare, supporting dining and kitchen operations.
This Dietary Aide role focuses on meal service, food preparation, and dining area support. You will assist with beverages, salads, desserts, tray service, table settings, dishware, and cleaning. The position also includes catering, theme events, resident respect, and safe work procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve meals professionally and courteously to residents and guests
- Prepare beverages, salads, desserts, and other service items
- Set and clear tables and deliver tray service
- Clean dishware, cutlery, kitchen, and dining areas
- Support catering, theme events, training, and meetings
Requirements:
- Food Handler's Certificate
- Food Service Worker Training enrollment or completion
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to lift hot, heavy items and stand or walk
- Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one
