Manager Model Risk Management in Winnipeg

Lead model risk management at EDC through independent validation, quantitative analysis, and a hybrid schedule in Ottawa, Toronto, or Montreal. As Manager, Model Risk Management, you will lead model risk professionals and oversee governance, reporting, and risk-based reviews. Your work will assess model design, data, implementation, performance, limitations, and controls across credit, financial, forecasting, pricing, valuation, capital, stress testing, and advanced analytics models. You will provide effective challenge and advise senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and develop model risk professionals Oversee independent, risk-based model validations and reviews Assess model methodology, data, performance, and controls Escalate findings and oversee timely remediation Maintain policies, inventories, methodologies, and reporting Requirements:

Quantitative undergraduate degree or equivalent education and experience At least seven years of relevant progressive experience Strong quantitative, statistical, and model lifecycle knowledge Knowledge of Canadian regulatory expectations, including OSFI Guideline E-23 English and French proficiency required for an EDC leader role Strengthen EDC’s model risk practices through independent challenge, sound governance, quantitative expertise, and clear senior-level recommendations.
