Lead model validation and governance at EDC in a hybrid role based in Ottawa, Toronto, or Montreal. Use quantitative judgment to strengthen model oversight. As Manager, Model Risk Management, you will lead model risk professionals and oversee independent validation, governance, and reporting across EDC. The work spans credit risk, financial risk, forecasting, pricing, valuation, capital, stress testing, and advanced analytics. You will advise senior stakeholders and support responsible model use. Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop model risk professionals Oversee independent, risk-based model validations and reviews Assess model design, data, performance, limitations, and controls Challenge developers, owners, and users on model risks Prepare reporting and recommendations for senior management Requirements:
Quantitative undergraduate degree or equivalent education and experience At least seven years of progressive related experience Experience leading people, engagements, or concurrent model reviews Strong quantitative, statistical, governance, and lifecycle knowledge Bilingual English and French proficiency required for EDC leadership Bring model validation, quantitative analysis, and independent challenge expertise to EDC’s model risk management team.
