Full Time Temporary Educational Assistant
St. Gregory Catholic School is a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 4 School
St. Gregory Catholic School in Hinton, AB is currently seeking an Educational Assistant to assist students with diverse academic and social/emotional needs. Experience with complex needs is an asset.
The assignment is to begin as soon as possible and ends November 30, 2026 with a possibility of extension up to June 30, 2027 of the 2026-2027 school year.
Salary range $20.74 - $29.32 as per Support Terms and Conditions of Employment.
Preference Given to Candidates with the Following Qualifications:
- Experience utilizing strength-based, trauma informed practices
- Experience working with students with diverse needs
- Able to effectively deal with crisis situation; physically able to lift and/or protect
- Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments training
- Mental Health First Aid or equivalent
- Diploma in child/youth care, Educational Assistant Certificate and experience with Speech/Language Assistance are assets.
- Any levels of Early Childhood Education are also an asset.
