Music Catalog Coordinator (o13) in Vancouver

Vancouver Full-Time On-site
E

o13 is a modern record label focused on developing original artist projects and building music with long-term value. Combining creative A&R with a data-driven approach, we identify emerging sounds, trends, and opportunities across streaming and digital platforms. Our focus is on creating distinctive artist identities, releasing great music consistently, and building a catalog that can grow at scale.

We're looking for a highly organized, music-obsessed candidate for a Music Catalog Coordinator & A&R to help us build and manage a growing catalog of music across electronic, chill, ambient, piano, dance, and emerging genres.

This is an entry-level role for someone who understands music culture, genres and trends, and wants to learn the business side of building music projects and catalogs.

You'll work closely with our A&R team across everything from coordinating, track sourcing, release planning, metadata, playlist research, creative development, and general catalog organization and administrative work.

What You'll Do

  • Organize demos, masters, artwork, metadata, splits, and release information
  • Help prepare releases for distribution and make sure assets and metadata are complete
  • Maintain internal spreadsheets and databases tracking songs, artists, releases, and project status
  • Coordinate with producers, composers, artists, and other external collaborators
  • Help evaluate tracks for new and existing music projects
  • Assist with building new artist concepts, aliases, and catalog projects
  • Support day-to-day A&R and catalog development tasks as needed

Who We're Looking For:

You don't need years of industry experience. We care more about taste, curiosity, culture fit, organization, and your willingness to learn.

You should:

  • Be genuinely passionate about music and music discovery
  • Have a strong understanding of Spotify, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and current music culture
  • Be comfortable working with spreadsheets and keeping large amounts of information organized
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly

Not required, but helpful:

  • Experience with Spotify for Artists or other DSP analytics
  • Basic understanding of music distribution, publishing, royalties, ISRCs, metadata, and release delivery
  • Experience working with artists, producers, labels, playlists, or music marketing
  • Familiarity with electronic music, chill house, ambient/sleep music, UK garage, dance music, or related genres
  • Basic knowledge of Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, or digital music marketing
  • Experience with Google Sheets, Excel, Notion, Airtable, or similar tools

What You'll Learn

This role is designed to give you hands-on experience in how a modern music company builds and grows a catalog.

You'll gain exposure to:

  • A&R and artist development
  • Music publishing and master rights
  • Streaming analytics
  • Digital marketing
  • Distribution
  • Release planning

Salary: $40K-50K CAD annually (plus benefits)

Level: Entry Level / Full-Time

*Must be able to commute to the Vancouver office a few days a week.

If you're someone who is interested in understanding both the creative and business sides of the music industry, we'd love to hear from you.
