Weir is seeking a skilled Welder to join its Alberta facility. This critical role requires expertise in welding processes, especially fabrication and overlay welding. You'll be responsible for quality assurance and safety in a fast-paced environment. Your work will support our mission to enable efficient and sustainable mining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fabrication and manual overlay welding on industrial components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Conduct inspections and repairs on welds for quality compliance
- Load and unload components for welding operations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives via Lean events
Requirements:
- CWB qualification in flat and horizontal positions for GMAW
- Minimum two years of production welding experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently with established standards
- Experience with cranes and forklifts is a plus
