Reporting to the Senior Manager, Hospital Operations, you will supervise teams serving the Companion Animal Hospital, Animal Cancer Centre, and Large Animal Hospital. The position emphasizes resource utilization, client experience, patient care, teaching, research, and fiscal targets. Large animal veterinary experience is preferred, while relevant healthcare leadership experience is also considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead diverse unionized, non-unionized, temporary, and part-time staff
- Recruit, orient, train, develop, coach, and manage performance
- Schedule staff and coordinate cross-training across service areas
- Provide budget, expenditure, cost recovery, and revenue input
- Implement efficiencies improving care, service, teaching, and costs
Requirements:
- Veterinary Technician designation or equivalent education and experience
- Six years of progressive supervisory experience preferred
- Healthcare leadership or managerial experience considered
- Strong communication, team building, and prioritization abilities
- Computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
