Lead credit risk strategy at EQ Bank in a hybrid Toronto setting, using lending expertise and independent challenge to strengthen risk decisions. The Senior Manager, Credit Risk Management supports Senior Management across the Bank’s credit risk activities. You will help develop and operationalize strategies while overseeing loan portfolios, governance, strategic initiatives, and enterprise-wide relationships. Your work supports high-quality lending and documented risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Challenge credit policy and procedure changes independently and effectively
- Monitor loan portfolios, trends, insights, and credit risk reporting
- Maintain relationships with credit functions across business lines
- Monitor exception frameworks and escalate relevant trends
- Support OSFI and Internal Audit recommendation responses
Requirements:
- Five to eight years of lending experience
- Commercial banking, retail lending, mortgage, and portfolio analytics expertise
- Post-secondary business or finance education preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking skills
- Strong underwriting, valuation, analytical, and communication skills
- Bring lending, portfolio management, and strategic credit risk expertise to EQ Bank’s enterprise-wide governance and oversight work.
