Your mission is to play an important role in a dynamic and passionate team, collaborating on a variety of projects of all sizes and scopes in the environment, renewable energies, hydroelectricity, transportation, materials, buildings, and climate change markets. Your main responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and delivery of electrical engineering projects for commercial, institutional, industrial, municipal, and infrastructure clients;
- Serving as Engineer of Record and providing professional oversight of project deliverables;
- Leading the design of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, life safety, communications, emergency power, and control systems;
- Reviewing and approving engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports;
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, designers, and technologists;
- Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project execution;
- Overseeing project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource planning activities;
- Conducting quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements;
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders;
- Supporting business development initiatives, proposal preparation, client presentations, and strategic growth opportunities.
What makes you unique:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university;
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in the applicable province or eligibility for immediate registration;
- 10+ years of consulting engineering experience in building services, municipal infrastructure, or industrial projects;
- Extensive experience designing electrical systems within a consulting engineering environment;
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, applicable standards, and industry best practices;
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design and analysis software;
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects and teams;
- Proven ability to mentor engineers, technologists, and technical staff;
- Strong client relationship management, communication, and business development skills;
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as required.
