Our Business Engineered Intelligence (EII) is a utility infrastructure technology company headquartered in Calgary with offices in Toronto, and additional locations opening in the US. Our software is used by many of North America’s most reliable electric utilities to manage their physical grid assets and optimize intervention and investment decision-making. We do this by digitally modelling the entire electrical network to see how it reacts under various scenario simulations. We leverage robust statistics, reliability engineering principles, and machine learning to provide defensible recommendations for our customers’ short- and long-term asset performance management, capital spend, and planning strategies.
One of our core differentiators is the technical experience and support our clients receive. In addition to our software solution, we provide subject matter expertise, engineering services, consultation, and many other support activities to ensure our clients are successful. We speak our customers’ language; our team is full of former electrical utility industry professionals who are uniquely suited to address the specific challenges associated with managing electrical infrastructure within a heavily regulated environment.
Our core values include:
- Teamwork - Teamwork is about investing in our people. Employee engagement, training & development, and providing various opportunities for growth. Great people do great things together. We support each other, share knowledge, and collaborate to solve complex challenges that no one can tackle alone.
- Customer Commitment - To reach the level of success we aspire to, we need to place our customers at the center of every decision. What challenges are they or the industry facing? How can we continue to solve these pain points? How can we innovate to prevent future challenges before they appear?
- Innovation - Innovation covers more than creating new products/services. It also means adopting an innovative mindset for how we approach the day-to-day. This includes assessing how we think, work, or communicate and identifying opportunities to improve.
- Ownership - We take initiative, follow through, and hold ourselves accountable. From the smallest detail to the biggest decision, we own the outcome.
Who we are: We are a lean, well-established, mid-size company experiencing sustained, fast and intentional growth. Our team of professionals is fully remote, spanning across Canada, the United States and Europe with optional in-person office spaces in Calgary and Toronto for collaborative work and hosting clients.
Position Summary: The Senior Consultant is a senior, client-facing delivery and solution design role responsible for leading the technical implementation, configuration, and ongoing evolution of ENGIN™ within complex utility environments. This role is accountable for translating client asset management, planning, and analytics needs into practical, scalable ENGIN solutions, ensuring implementations are technically sound, adopted by users, and aligned with client business objectives.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Technical Leadership - Serve as the technical lead for ENGIN implementations, expansions, and complex configuration initiatives. Translate client asset, reliability, cost, and planning challenges into ENGIN data models, workflows, and analytics configurations. Design scalable solutions that balance client-specific needs with product standards and long-term maintainability.
- Implementation Delivery & Execution - Lead day-to-day delivery activities for assigned client projects, including requirements discovery and validation, data ingestion, transformation, and validation, configuration of ENGIN modules and workflows, and user training and enablement.
- Client Collaboration & Enablement - Work directly with client practitioners, analysts, and subject-matter experts to understand how assets are actually managed and decisions are made. Identify gaps between current workflows and desired future-state analytics.
- Cross-Functional Delivery Coordination - Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and DevOps / Infrastructure / Security teams to support releases and client environments.
- Product Feedback & Continuous Improvement - Identify recurring implementation patterns, friction points, and enhancement opportunities across clients. Provide clear, structured feedback to product and engineering teams grounded in real client usage.
- Pre-Sales & Growth Support - Assist with technical discovery and solution scoping, estimating implementation effort and delivery approach, and demonstrating ENGIN capabilities as a technical subject matter expert.
