Coordinate hydroelectric operations at NB Power's Mactaquac Generating Station, using permit-to-work systems and technical risk assessment. Support safe project delivery across operational interfaces.
As Coordinator, Operations, you will support the Mactaquac Life Achievement Project across construction, commissioning, and facility operations. Your work includes coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and project groups while aligning operational priorities with schedules. You will review technical documents, assess system impacts, and help maintain operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily communication among Operations, Construction, Commissioning, contractors, and project teams
- Manage permits, verify isolations, and monitor compliance with safety controls
- Support safe turnovers, energization, commissioning, and operational readiness
- Review drawings, schedules, procedures, and related technical documents
- Participate in inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and safety improvements
Requirements:
- Two-year diploma in technology, electrical, mechanical, power engineering, or related discipline
- Five years of related hydroelectric generation or industrial operations experience
- Understanding of hydroelectric systems, plant operations, and electrical equipment
- Familiarity with permit-to-work and lockout/tagout procedures
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, schedules, and progress updates
