Support vulnerable youth through emergency housing coordination, case management, and crisis intervention in Langley. The schedule includes five days on, three days off. Encompass Support Services Society is hiring a Program Coordinator for its specialized housing support services. This permanent full-time position oversees a 24-hour emergency receiving home for youth ages 12 to 19 needing short-term stabilization. You will work with residence staff, families, the Ministry of Children and Family Development, community partners, and service providers. The role requires understanding trauma, isolation, vulnerability, and youth strengths while maintaining inclusive, participant-centered services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead client plans, case conferences, case management, and documentation
- Coordinate staff schedules, supervision, guidance, recruitment, and development
- Develop and evaluate residence goals, policies, procedures, and standards
- Monitor operating expenditures and maintain budget documentation
- Build relationships with funders, stakeholders, and community resources
Requirements:
- Three years' direct community social services delivery experience
- One year of supervisory or administrative experience
- Knowledge of youth-at-risk, mental health, homelessness, addictions, and poverty issues
- Ability to manage participant crises and supervise crisis responses
- Valid licence, reliable vehicle, business insurance, and acceptable driver abstract
