Lead major tunnel and underground construction projects for EBC in Mississauga, coordinating bids, execution, quality, safety, schedules, and costs across Canada. As Project Director, you will oversee proposals and one or more construction projects, independently or with project managers. You will direct teams, negotiate subcontractor agreements, monitor financial controls, and support customer contract discussions. The work requires deep tunneling knowledge, project leadership, and construction management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare bids and oversee execution of major construction projects
- Negotiate and verify subcontractor agreements below one million dollars
- Coordinate quality, safety, quantities, schedules, costs, and corrective actions
- Review monthly cost controls and report results to leadership
- Monitor staffing, productivity, customer satisfaction, and operating costs
Requirements:
- Engineering degree, technology diploma, or equivalent industry experience
- More than fifteen years of construction industry experience
- Civil construction experience involving tunnels and underground works
- Strong knowledge of TBM, SEM/NATM, cut-and-cover, and micro-tunnelling
- Leadership, organization, financial management, scheduling software, and communication skills
- Bring tunneling expertise, project leadership, and financial discipline to EBC’s major underground construction projects throughout Canada.
