As an Electrician (Industrial), you will report to the Underground Supervisor and perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair work. The permanent, full-time position requires a Journeyman Industrial Electrician certification and troubleshooting experience. You will support planned and unplanned assignments, emergency restoration, regulatory training, and safe work practices throughout Nova Scotia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, maintain, and repair underground electrical plant
- Assist with emergency and storm-related power restoration
- Travel throughout the province and support other locations
- Participate in regulatory and on-the-job training programs
- Observe occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements
Requirements:
- Journeyman Industrial Electrician certification required
- Minimum two years troubleshooting electrical equipment
- Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License and driving experience
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Willingness to work on call and in extreme conditions
