About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, Industrial Mechanics in our plant are responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining stationary equipment. This is a full‑time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 schedule consisting of days and nights or straight days. The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.
In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- In certain components of this role, it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal
- Work closely with all other trades to acquire the highest availability and reliability of our equipment and fleets
- Install, inspect and repair mechanical and hydraulic components
- Maintain and service the processing plant’s stationary equipment including pumps, gearboxes, chain-drive, conveyors, belts, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Requirements
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certification
- Valid driver's license
- Previous mining experience is an asset
- Comfortable working in an outdoor setting in all weather conditions

$123,000 - $131,000 a year. Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year. This position involves preventative maintenance, industrial equipment repair, and working with mechanical systems across fixed plant equipment.
