Next Step isseeking teachers who are currently teaching or have taught diploma-level courses to lead the review diploma sessions. Experience doing diploma review sessions, marking diplomas, and/or actively involved with Alberta Education working groups is an asset.
- January 9-10: English Language Arts 30-1, Social Studies 30-1, Math 30-1 & Math 30-2
- January 16-17: English Language Arts 30-1, Social Studies 30-1, Math 30-1 & Math 30-2 (repeat sessions), Biology 30
- January 23-24: Biology 30 (repeat session), Chemistry 30, Physics 30
- Janyary 23: Science 30
Teachers must have experience teaching and be currently teaching the subject they are applying for. Pay is as per the collective agreement at $63 per hour.
Paid Hourly for 28 total hours for one session: 14 hours for Instruction/supervision, 14 hours prepping materials. For two sessions: 28 hours of instruyctional time and 14 hours of prep time.
Courses run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a half-hour break for lunch.Courses will be offered at Salisbury Composite High School (20 Festival Way) in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
This position is conditional on sufficient student registrations. The successful candidate must have an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
