About the Opportunity
Our client, an established manufacturer in Innisfil, is looking for an experienced, hands‑on Accounts Payable professional to join its Canadian finance team. You will take ownership of the AP function, working closely with the Finance Manager, and you will be expected to become productive quickly.
What You’ll Do
- Check and process supplier invoices against purchase orders, agreed pricing and confirmation of receipt of goods or services
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and obtain the required approvals
- Reconcile supplier statements and clear outstanding items
- Prepare and process supplier payment runs in line with approval procedures
- Review and process employee expense claims and corporate credit card statements, following up on missing receipts
- Keep AP records accurate, organized and audit-ready
- Work with purchasing, receiving and operations teams to resolve payment queries
- Other accounting duties as assigned
What You Bring
- Proven experience in accounts payable, including three‑way matching and supplier statement reconciliations
- Experience running payment runs under an approval process
- Experience processing expense claims and credit card reconciliations
- Comfort working independently, organizing open items and prioritizing in a fast‑moving environment
- Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication
- Solid Excel skills and experience with an accounting or ERP system
- Experience in a small or mid‑sized manufacturing business is an asset
Work Environment
This is an on‑site position in Innisfil. No hybrid option is currently available.
