Our client, an established and growing company in the Hamilton/Burlington area is seeking a Controller to join their team! Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will play a strategic role in the financial management of a multi-entity company. The successful candidate will utilize their skill set to interpret financial results and contribute to ongoing process improvements in the Finance department. This is an in-office position.
Work Location: 100% in-office in the Hamilton-Burlington area.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with ASPE and other regulatory requirements
- Interpret financial results in order to assess business performance and make recommendations for improvement and sound financial strategies
- Work with the CFO in leading business planning process including annual operating plan, annual budget and monthly/quarterly forecast
- Oversee treasury, internal controls, and compliance
- Collaborate with internal and stakeholders
- Provide support and expertise to automate and streamline financial processes
- Coordinate with external auditors, prepare required documentation and facilitate an efficient audit process
- Support and lead process improvements and procedure implementations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Controller in a multi-entity setting
- CPA designation required
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required for success in this role
