Our benefits include:
- Competitive compensation, including health benefits, profit-sharing, and employee share ownership programs
- A commitment to long-term development through opportunities and support for professional advancement (e.g., internal mentorship, annual professional development budget)
- Working with a team of established industry leaders who excel in the fields of aquatic and terrestrial biology and water resources
- A challenging, dynamic, engaging and rewarding work experience
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading and/or supporting the design, implementation, and management of water quality programs, including baseline studies, operational monitoring, and EA support
- Conducting and interpreting statistical analyses and water quality trend analysis in support of regulatory compliance, permitting, and environmental impact assessments
- Contributing to the preparation and review of technical reports, including regulatory submissions, water quality assessments, and mine permit applications
- Providing technical direction, mentorship, and guidance to junior staff supporting team development and project delivery
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and Indigenous engagement groups
- Participating in business development activities, proposal writing, scope of work and budget development, and building client relationships

We are looking for someone with:
- Working knowledge of Canadian and provincial water quality guidelines, legislation, regulations, and standards (focus on mining activities)
- Advanced understanding of water quality analysis, statistical interpretation, and trend analysis for baseline and operational data
- Understanding of the hydrological, hydrogeological, and aqueous geochemical processes that influence water quality
- A collaborative and adaptable mindset, with a commitment to mentoring junior staff and fostering a supportive, professional team environment
- Willingness and ability to travel for fieldwork, including to remote and northern locations
Job requirements include:
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in chemistry, hydrogeology, ecotoxicology, environmental science, or a related discipline, with a strong foundation in water chemistry, with 5+ years of experience, including consulting experience in a water quality focused discipline; additional experience in hydrology or hydrogeology considered an asset
- Professional registration (e.g., PGeo), or eligibility for registration considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing baseline water quality monitoring programs and interpreting complex surface water and/or groundwater chemistry datasets, including QA/QC, guideline comparisons, statistical analysis, and technical reporting
- Proficiency in water quality analysis tools and data platforms (e.g., ESdat, R, Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience authoring technical reports and regulatory documentation
- A collaborative mindset, with a passion for mentoring and developing junior team members
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
