Lead InvestMilton’s economic development priorities through business growth, market intelligence, and digital marketing in Milton. This full-time municipal role serves as a strategic expert. Reporting to the Manager, Economic Development, the Senior Economic Development Officer provides guidance, subject matter expertise, and project management support. The position leads business retention, expansion, innovation, economic analysis, and InvestMilton brand development. It advances sector strategies, investment attraction, strategic partnerships, and Milton’s long-term competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead investment attraction, retention, expansion, and innovation initiatives
- Serve businesses, investors, developers, entrepreneurs, and site selectors
- Develop market intelligence plans, dashboards, reports, and forecasts
- Implement InvestMilton’s digital asset and marketing strategy
- Lead annual Economic Development Action Plan activities
Requirements:
- Degree in economics, business, planning, geography, or related discipline
- Seven years of economic development or related experience
- Experience developing economic development strategies and action plans
- Strong relationship management, communication, analytical, and project management skills
- Proficiency with PowerBI, GIS, CRM, WordPress, and digital tools
- Apply economic analysis, business development, and digital marketing expertise to advance InvestMilton’s strategic economic priorities.
