We require a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Toronto based design team, contributing & coordinating design on a major international mineral processing project that ECG has been driving from study phase through to execution.
Key Requirements:
- Have a solid understanding of technical (E, I&C) principles relating to the large industrial & complex operational assets that our clients own and operate.
- Relevant Electrical engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Experience coordinating / driving specialized electrical teams, on front end greenfield and brownfield development projects with complex electrical scope.
- Major project design experience throughout the design cycle.
- Experience / exposure to project delivery, driving a job (not necessarily an entire project!).
- Understand the project development process for juniors/mid-tier miners.
- Provide specialized advice and guidance to clients.
- The ability to contribute / influence in a meeting; exercises good judgment on how to contribute, and collaborative behaviour.
The role will be Toronto based, working with an established design team; however, there may be occasional input on the studies and reports of our Perth and Brisbane office, as well as the coordination of works from our engineering office in Manila.
To be considered for the role of Lead Electrical Engineer you need solid design experience on complex high value electrical projects, with an understanding of the differences between plant designed for Canada based projects, and the realities of offshore remote mining plant construction (think Africa).
