Support resident care through laundry services at Eatonville Care Centre in Etobicoke, using washer operations and person centered service. Flexible casual hours are available.
The Casual Laundry Aide reports to the Environmental Services Manager. You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver linens and personal clothing. The work also includes resident involvement, facility upkeep, infection control, and following established procedures. This position helps fulfill scheduling needs and vacant shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and sort laundry by type, condition, and weight
- Wash and dry loads using designated machine instructions
- Fold and deliver laundry to appropriate units
- Report machine malfunctions and maintain laundry equipment
- Support resident activities through everyday domestic living
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of washer and dryer operations
- Some knowledge of chemicals used in laundry processes
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Clear vulnerable sector screen and current TB test results
- Three supervisory references and positive social interaction skills
