Support residents in Edmonton through person-centered care, daily living assistance, and safe transfers at Easter Seals McQueen Residence. Work day shifts from 7am to 3pm.
As a Health Care Aide, you will provide long-term supported living care in a home-like environment. Your work includes bathing, grooming, mobility support, documentation, and meaningful resident engagement. You will collaborate with nursing staff and an interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene
- Support ambulation, transfers, mobility aids, and mechanical lifts
- Observe, document, and report health or behavior changes
- Assist scheduled medications according to care plans and MAR
- Maintain clean environments, meal service, and infection control
Requirements:
- Alberta Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program
- Active status on the Alberta HCA Directory
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- Recent Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance
- Comfort with manual handling procedures and mobility aids
