East London NHS Foundation Trust seeks a permanent, full-time Band 8a psychologist for its Newham Mentalisation Based Therapy Service. Spend three days supporting MBT provision and two days delivering outreach for people with Complex Emotional Needs across the borough. The post combines clinical interventions with supervision, training, consultation, and service development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct specialist psychological assessments for referred service users
- Prepare detailed reports for referrers and patients
- Develop tailored treatment plans and deliver Mentalisation-Based Therapy
- Provide clinical supervision and professional consultation
- Collaborate across services to maintain continuity of care
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
- Experience providing therapeutic support for complex mental health challenges
- Previous Mentalisation-Based Therapy involvement considered advantageous
- Ability to work independently within professional guidelines
