You will set up and operate welding equipment, reading blueprints to produce and recondition components per specifications. Ideal candidates should have strong measurement and layout skills and experience in industrial welding environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate welding and cutting machinery
- Weld and fabricate components using various techniques
- Cut materials using oxy-acetylene or plasma equipment
- Apply metallurgy knowledge to adhere to welding guidelines
- Maintain quality standards during fabrication processes
Requirements:
- Completion of a related apprenticeship program
- 2+ years technical school in welding/metallurgy
- Proven experience in metal and alloy fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Willingness to pass weld certification tests
