Use QuickBooks, ETO, and Excel as a Finance Assistant supporting e4c's Financial Management HUB in its day-to-day operations. Maintain accurate transactions, records, and reconciliations.
The Finance Assistant completes routine financial processing, data entry, reconciliations, participant documentation, and cash handling. Working with the Director and Finance Compliance & Audit Lead, this position supports timely processing. It follows established procedures, internal controls, confidentiality, FOIP, and data-security requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process transactions, data entry, and reconciliations using QuickBooks, ETO, and Excel
- Maintain participant records, trust account documentation, files, logs, and supporting documents
- Distribute daily participant cash through established safety procedures
- Prepare draft summaries, reports, and audit documentation for review
- Report discrepancies, errors, and potential financial risks promptly
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least one year of related experience preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, spreadsheet, database, and Office proficiency
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Accounting designation considered an asset
