ABOUT MECKA AI

Mecka AI is building the data infrastructure layer for robotics and embodied AI.

We design and operate global systems for data capture, data labeling, and hardware-enabled workflows used by leading AI labs and robotics companies to train and validate humanoid and embodied AI systems.

We work closely with frontier robotics teams to bridge real-world data, simulation, learning-based systems, and deployed hardware.

The Role

You'll build the physical systems our researchers use to test what robots have learned.

You'll bring robots, sensors, and software together for demonstrations, policy deployment, and experiments that the team can repeat and trust.

Precise calibration, sound control, and careful debugging will connect Mecka's data to how robots behave on real hardware, so the team can tell a weakness in a learned policy apart from a problem in the system running it.

What You'll Do

  • Integrate robotics hardware and software for data collection and repeatable experiments.
  • Develop calibration and diagnostic tools for coordinate frames, timing, and sensor quality.
  • Deploy perception models and learned policies on robots, and investigate how they perform on real tasks.
  • Build recording, teleoperation, and evaluation workflows with our robot-learning researchers.
  • Make systems more reliable through hardware debugging, software improvements, and clear recovery procedures.

What You Bring Must-have

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in robotics, mechatronics, or a closely related engineering field.
  • Strong Python and C++ skills, with practical experience developing on Linux.
  • Hands-on experience building, integrating, and debugging robotics or mechatronic systems.
  • A solid understanding of kinematics, coordinate transforms, sensor calibration, and time synchronization.
  • Experience with robot interfaces, control loops, and communication between software and physical hardware.
  • Ability to integrate perception or machine-learning models into a running robotic system.
  • A systematic approach to diagnosing failures across software, electronics, sensors, and mechanics.
  • Inclusive Hiring at Mecka

Use of Artificial Intelligence in Recruitment

Mecka uses artificial intelligence (AI) responsibly to support administrative and efficiency-focused aspects of our recruitment process.

This includes activities such as drafting job descriptions, generating interview questions, note-taking and recordings, and supporting sourcing and scheduling workflows.
