Durham Community Health Centre (DCHC) is a charitable registered organization that provides integrated, accessible, and equitable community-based primary care, wellness services, and health education for Durham community members facing barriers to health and well-being.
DCHC offers equity-focused programs and services for priority populations, including Indigenous peoples, Black communities, 2SLGBTQI+ community members, newcomers to Canada, seniors, and clients without a family doctor. This approach helps community members access both preventive care and care when they are ill.
Our interprofessional team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, counsellors, dietitians, outreach workers, medical secretaries, and administrative staff. Together, we place each client at the centre of care and respond to their needs through integrated clinical care, wellness support, and health education.
This is an exciting time to join DCHC as we advance an energizing path toward greater impact in local health care. Guided by our Strategic Plan, Theory of Change, brand, client stories, and resources, we are diversifying, expanding, and strengthening how we serve the community.
The role demands a leader who thrives in complexity, excels in driving enterprise-wide performance, and is relentless in the pursuit of excellence. At DCHC we are committed to a collaborative culture where strategic thinking, execution discipline and shared leadership are at the core of everything we do.

This role is a unique opportunity for an innovative leader to build high-impact frameworks for evaluation, decision support, special project execution and quality transformation.
The right candidate will be a visionary, a doer and a collaborator; someone who can seamlessly transition between strategy and execution while fostering an organizational culture of continuous improvement and strategic excellence.

- Lead CEO and ELT-sponsored strategic initiatives, complex enterprise projects, and transformational initiatives that improve service delivery and operational effectiveness.
- Lead the enterprise risk management strategy, including proactive risk identification, mitigation, monitoring, annual planning, and reporting.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Office of the CEO.
