Durham Community Health Centre (DCHC) is a charitable registered organization that provides integrated, accessible, and equitable community-based primary care, wellness services, and health education for Durham community members facing barriers to health and well-being.
DCHC offers equity-focused programs and services for priority populations, including Indigenous peoples, Black communities, 2SLGBTQI+ community members, newcomers to Canada, seniors, and clients without a family doctor. This approach helps community members access both preventive care and care when they are ill.
Our interprofessional team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, counsellors, dietitians, outreach workers, medical secretaries, and administrative staff. Together, we place each client at the centre of care and respond to their needs through integrated clinical care, wellness support, and health education.
This is an exciting time to join DCHC as we advance an energizing path toward greater impact in local health care. Guided by our Strategic Plan, Theory of Change, brand, client stories, and resources, we are diversifying, expanding, and strengthening how we serve the community.
The Senior Director provides enterprise leadership across strategy execution, performance intelligence, transformation, risk, quality, accreditation, and organizational alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate DCHC’s strategic plan into clear annual priorities, business operating plans, performance measures, and funder accountabilities.
- Establish DCHC’s enterprise performance management framework.
- Lead CEO and ELT-sponsored strategic initiatives, complex enterprise projects, and transformational initiatives that improve service delivery and operational effectiveness.
- Lead the enterprise risk management strategy, including proactive risk identification, mitigation, monitoring, annual planning, and reporting.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Office of the CEO.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- 7-10 years of progressive senior leadership experience in enterprise performance, strategic execution, quality improvement, program evaluation, risk management, or transformation leadership.
- Proven success in leading high-impact initiatives, enterprise-wide projects, and complex change management efforts.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication skills.
This is a high-stakes, high-impact leadership role. A strategic powerhouse who can execute with precision. A collaborative leader who thrives in a multi-disciplinary, fast-paced environment.
Comprehensive health benefits and Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) are included. Full vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory for this position.
