Who We Are:
Taiv is a fast-growing tech startup located in Winnipeg, Canada. Taiv uses AI to make business TV more fun, engaging, profitable, and easier to manage, starting with bars and restaurants. We've built proprietary tech that uses computer vision to watch live TV and improve the content with contextually-aware commercials, content, and games. Our tech also automates the manual AV tasks that venues have to do every day, to make bar management easier, standardized, and more profitable. We're venture-capital backed and graduated from Y Combinator, the world's top tech accelerator, in winter 2020.
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team!
What We're Looking For:
Taiv is growing, and the people we hire decide how well that growth goes. We're adding people across sales, operations, marketing, and engineering in Winnipeg and our U.S. markets. We need someone whose full-time job is running that process to allow Taiv to grow as efficiently as possible.
You'll do the hands-on hiring work on every open role at Taiv. That means reviewing applications, running screener calls, coordinating interviews, and building our presence at campus and community events so good candidates know who we are before a role opens. You'll work closely with hiring managers on every team, and be responsible for helping them achieve their hiring goals. If you love being the person who actually moves candidates through the process, and you want a real say in how a fast-growing company builds its team, this is the perfect opportunity!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Own the top of the funnel. Review every application that comes in through our ATS and move candidates forward or out quickly.
- Run the first interview stage. You'll be the first real conversation a candidate has with Taiv.
- Keep interviews moving. Schedule interviews, provide feedback, and keep hiring managers and candidates on the same timeline.
- Go find people. Source candidates directly through LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, and creative outreach methods.
- Own the pipeline. Establish and maintain a pipeline of candidates across every function of the business for open and future roles.
- Build Taiv's hiring presence. Plan and attend campus career fairs, local tech and community events, and referral pushes.
- Track what's working. Keep our ATS data clean, own the hiring metrics tracker, and send regular pipeline updates.
Who You Are:
- You have good judgment about people.
- You're proactive.
- You're highly organized.
- You're comfortable working with people more senior than you.
- You're personable and a clear communicator.
- You're always looking for a better way to do things.
Your Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, in-house or agency.
- Experience hiring for several functions at once (sales, operations, technical, etc.).
- Comfortable working in an applicant tracker system.
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and direct sourcing.
- Experience running campus recruiting, career fairs, or hiring events is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Startup or high-growth company experience is a plus.
- Experience using AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to improve workflow is a plus.
Perks:
- Employee stock options
- 100% employer-covered health benefits
- Flex-time & unlimited paid vacation
- Gym membership
- Catered lunches 3x per week
- Dog-friendly office
- Hybrid work model
- Free parking on-site
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: $60,000 - $68,000 per year + stock options
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Ability to commute: can reliably commute to the office (required)
