Howe Sound Pulp and Paper has an immediate opportunity for a full-time, permanent Pipefitter at our Port Mellon facility.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Pipefitter / Gasfitter Certification
- 5+ years of experience working within an industrial setting; pulp and paper environment an asset
- Experience installing, maintaining and repairing water and waste disposal systems
- Superior troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble system components as required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly rate of $54.57 as per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement
- Overtime is compensated per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement
- Comprehensive benefits package including extended health/dental coverage and pension
