Supervisor - Electrical, Instrumentation, & HVAC

The Position: Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this position is responsible for leadership and supervision of the electrical, instrumentation, HVAC maintenance crews in accordance with the requirements of the site's established maintenance strategy in order to provide the highest equipment availability in a safe, environmentally friendly and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the electrical instrumentation workforce by ensuring that all people are adequately trained and able to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
• Enforce all relevant health and safety procedures and standards within the workplace, ensuring that all hazards are identified and have adequate controls in place.
• Enforce all relevant environmental procedures and standards within the workplace, ensuring that spills are investigated and preventive actions are implemented.
• Ensure that maintenance costs are controlled to within budget and that all purchases are approved via the DOA.
• Ensure high reliability and availability of the plant and equipment in their area of responsibility.
• Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosis of malfunctioning equipment and systems.
• Work with all Supervisors to ensure maximum performance and efficiencies.
• Perform administrative duties such as writing reports, generating timesheets, and performing accident investigations.
• Identify, recommend and/or implement changes designed to improve procedures, equipment performance, working conditions, and product quality.
• Ensure employees comply with company rules, policies, programs and procedures, and health and safety and environmental legislation.

Skills and Qualifications:

• College Diploma in Electrical
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Adept with AutoCAD
• Safety-minded and actively work to eliminate risk to self and others
• Excellent computer skills including Mincom, Ellipse, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Supervisory Common Core or experience in Supervisor role

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive total compensation package including health, dental, life, AD&D, disability, healthcare and wellness spending accounts, virtual care and employee and family assistance program; company contributions and matching into a Defined Contribution Pension Plan; and annual compensation of CAD$92,000 to CAD$115,000.
