The Position
Reporting to Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of a range of traditional and sophisticated mining equipment.
- Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize reliability.
- Adhering to and promoting all safety policies, procedures and systems.
- Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities or problem equipment.
- Perform daily tasks using Computer Maintenance Management Systems.
Skills And Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a team player who possesses:
- Certificate of Qualification in Heavy Equipment.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience preferred.
- A motivated attitude, a dynamic approach to getting tasks complete, and pride in accomplishment and craftsmanship.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, locate, identify and diagnose malfunctions.
- Strong ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with peers, engineering, and management.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and interest in continuous learning and improvement.
- Primary experience with surface loaders/haul truck such as Caterpillar and John Deer.
- Secondary experience with U/G equipment such as Sandvik, Atlas Copco, MacLean, Marcotte & Kubota tractors would be considered an asset.
