Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (DOMP) | Motherhood & General Practice

Your clinical autonomy. An established clinic. A new opportunity to grow within our Motherhood program. At Aches Away Toronto, we've spent years building a multidisciplinary practice where practitioners can focus on their clinical work without taking on the overhead and administration of running an independent clinic. We're looking for an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (DOMP) who values clinical curiosity, thoughtful assessment and individualized care. This opportunity combines a broader manual-osteopathy practice with the chance to develop a meaningful role in Motherhood at Aches Away, our dedicated fertility, prenatal and postpartum care program.

The program is live, with online booking and ongoing marketing. We're building a connected care experience that helps patients discover appropriate services at different stages of their lives. If you want to practise with autonomy while working alongside other experienced health professionals, we'd like to meet you.

The opportunity: general practice meets Motherhood. Your caseload can include general osteopathic manual practice alongside appropriate prenatal and postpartum care. Within the Motherhood program, your work may include:

  • Prenatal care: Individualized manual assessment and treatment for pregnancy-related musculoskeletal discomfort, movement restrictions and changing physical demands.
  • Postpartum care: Supporting patients navigating the physical demands of recovery, feeding, carrying and returning to everyday activities.
  • Pelvic and rib-cage mechanics: Assessing and addressing relevant movement restrictions and musculoskeletal concerns within your training and scope of practice.
  • Cranial, fascial and structural approaches: Applying the techniques you are qualified to use, guided by your clinical assessment and the patient's needs.
  • General osteopathic practice: Maintaining a broader caseload so your professional identity and clinical interests can continue to develop.

You'll work alongside Registered Massage Therapists, acupuncturists and naturopathic doctors. This creates opportunities for appropriate internal referrals and coordinated care when patients may benefit from more than one discipline. Motherhood is a specialty pathway within your practice, not a restriction on the patients you can see.

Compensation: a flat 70% split. We believe compensation should be easy to understand before you commit. A $150 initial Motherhood osteopathy appointment pays $105 to the practitioner. A $115 follow-up appointment pays $80.50 to the practitioner. No performance threshold is required to reach the stated 70% split. Flexible scheduling, with the opportunity to shape your working hours around your practice and availability. You operate as an independent contractor, with clinical autonomy and control over your schedule within the clinic's booking arrangements. We'll discuss the complete compensation and operating terms transparently before you decide whether the opportunity is right for you.

A clinic built around the realities of practice located at 2 Carlton Street, Suite 707, directly above College Station, Aches Away offers a central downtown location with convenient transit access. You'll join a multidisciplinary environment that includes:

  • An established clinic and online booking system.
  • Remote reception support.
  • Electric lift treatment tables and professional treatment rooms.
  • A team spanning massage therapy, acupuncture, naturopathic medicine and osteopathic manual practice.
  • Opportunities to collaborate and exchange perspectives with practitioners from complementary disciplines.
  • A clinic director who understands the practical realities of running a hands-on healthcare practice.

You can focus on your patients and your clinical development without having to build every part of the business infrastructure yourself.

Who we're looking for: We're interested in a practitioner who:

  • Has graduated from a recognized osteopathic manual practice program.
  • Maintains appropriate professional association membership and professional liability insurance.
  • Demonstrates sound assessment, clinical reasoning and professional judgment.
  • Communicates clearly and respects each patient's preferences, circumstances and goals.
  • Values collaboration while maintaining appropriate clinical independence.
  • Has an interest in prenatal and postpartum care, or is motivated to develop that interest through appropriate education and training.

Experience in women's health, prenatal care or postpartum recovery is an asset. We also welcome a conversation with practitioners whose strengths lie in general osteopathic practice and who see the value in developing this area of care. We're less interested in a particular treatment philosophy than in how thoughtfully you apply your training, how you approach complex cases and how you work with patients.
